Dr. Michael Hack, is Vice-President of Business Development at Universal Display Corporation. He is responsible for developing and commercializing advanced high efficiency next generation OLED products, with a special focus on flexible display applications and solid-state lighting. Prior to joining UDC in 1999, he was associated with dpiX, a Xerox Company, where he was responsible for manufacturing flat panel displays and digital medical imaging products based on amorphous silicon TFT technology. Dr. Hack received his Ph. D. degree from Cambridge University, England in 1981 and in 2007 Dr. Hack was elected a Fellow of the Society for Information Display. In 2014 Dr. Hack was nominated to serve on the board of the U.S. OLED Lighting Coalition to promote the advancement and commercialization of OLED lighting.
Neetu Chopra has been working in the OLED display field for the last 14+ years. She currently works at Apple as an Emerging Display Technologist. Before Apple she worked at Kateeva for six years where she helped to commercialize TFE inkjet printing for AMOLED displays and led the team for pixel printing for displays. In her role she extensively collaborated with display manufacturers as well as material vendors to execute DEMOs as well as evaluate new materials/applications for inkjet technology. Before Kateeva she worked at Plextronics where she was part of the device team establishing test vehicles and methodologies for qualifying OLED materials. Dr. Chopra holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Polymer Science and Chemical Technology from Delhi College of Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida at Gainesville. She is active in display community as a committee member of the Society of Information Displays (SID) and OLED association.
For more than 25 years my career has been focused on the development and management of hardware products and processes in the fields of consumer electronics, displays, lighting, photovoltaics and advanced electronic materials. I specialize in scaling and developing technologies to mass manufacturing with notable examples in displays and photovoltaics. I held leadership positions at ISF Incubator, Kateeva, DuPont, Innovalight, Osram, HP, and Xerox, and served on several national and international boards.
As managing director of the OLED Association, Barry Young addresses such issues as the development of industry standards for OLED display and lighting, promotion of the technology and the resolution of industry-wide technical issues. He serves as CEO of Young Market Research, where he produces a comprehensive report on the LED supply chain, characterizing the 100+ LED producers in terms of reactors, wafers, die capacity, yielded die and die revenue. The report featured an analysis of the MOPCVD tool makers. He is also working with a group of suppliers to establish the first US-based manufacturer for OLED lighting. Barry was a featured speaker at the16th CLSA Investors’ Forum and the World Knowledge Forum in Korea. A founder and longtime principal, senior advisor and consultant with research firm DisplaySearch, Young is a leading authority on OLEDs and flexible displays, has visited and consulted with most OLED manufacturers around the world. Young’s work has been published in many technical journals and he has spoken extensively around the world about the display industry.
Dr. Sundaram (Kris) Krishnamurthy is a globally recognized scientist and executive, with extensive experience in the Management of Technology and Business. He has over 30 years of experience in leading diverse technical organizations to deliver in material research and development, intellectual property, and business. He is a strategic advisor for global corporations for Technology and Business. He serves on the Advisory Committee of OLED World Summit.
During his successful career at Eastman Kodak Company for over 30 years, Krishnamurthy led organizations that consistently delivered highly innovative and successful products and was responsible for several hundreds of granted US Patents. In the most recent role before retirement, he served as the Director of R&D for OLED Materials, where he was responsible for starting an active OLED Material R&D program from the ground, integrating research, commercialization, and intellectual property. The program blossomed into highly profitable OLED Material business. Prior to this he held a variety of executive leadership positions at Kodak, in photographic imaging materials area including Senior Research Laboratory Head for Imaging Materials, Chairman of the Corporate Chemistry Council to oversee the world-wide material chain from R&D to manufacturing along with support functions. He managed several collaborative programs with external companies and was a key member of IP committee.
Jang Jin Yoo is currently research fellow at LG Display. He received his BS and MS in chemistry and physics at Sogang University, Korea, in 1993 and 1996. He also studied color science at Leeds University, UK, for his PhD. He has more than 25 years of research experience in display technologies and display picture quality. Specialty areas include picture quality evaluation, enhancement and display standardization in IEC, ICDM, VESA, UHDA etc.

Michele is currently Business Development Manager, OLED Technical Marketing at EMD Electronics, a business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, specializing in OLED materials. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the OLED industry, working with manufacturers worldwide. Michele was an integral member of the Kodak team that successfully launched production of the world’s first Active Matrix OLED display. She holds 20 granted US patents in the areas of OLED materials, processes and device architecture and has commercialized new materials.
Ross Young is the co-founder and CEO of DSCC, a Counterpoint Research company. Previously, he started, ran and sold DisplaySearch which he started with less than $500 in capital and grew to over $10M in revenues. He has also worked throughout the display supply chain including at a TV brand, panel supplier, multiple equipment suppliers and a materials supplier.
Shortly after completing graduate school at UCSD and Japan’s Tohoku University in International Management, Young published a book on the semiconductor industry called Silicon Sumo: US-Japan Competition and Industrial Policy in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry published by the University of Texas.
Young also completed 12 IRONMAN triathlons including the World Championships in Kona in 2016.
